Golligor

Today's Irish Independent newspaper has a photograph of a young lad who 'retrieves his bucket and golligor (crab) as crowds try to catch a champion crab to run in the Wicklow Regatta Festival Golligor Olympics.' I haven't heard this word before, and a Google search was unsuccessful. Anybody else heard of it?
