what is a "beauty mark" on one's faces? is it a mole? (please don't laugh, it's just what I guess).

Yes. Women used to put artificial beauty marks on if they didn't have one naturally.

What do you call the two holes that some people have on their face when they smile? Beauty spot?

Do you mean dimples?

I remember actress Anne Francis as having a beauty mark but the photos on her site don't show it, oddly enough.
