Does anyone know the origin of the phrase, "A bun in the Oven," which relates to one being pregnant. Thanks.

According to Eric Partridge's book Dictionary of Catch Phrases: American and British, from the Sixteenth Century to the Present Day, it dates from about 1910 in the U.K.
