There was a joke, popular during the last ice age when I was a bambino, that went "Do you know what happened to the Indian who didn't know s**t from Shinola?" "No, what?" "Well, nothing happened to him, but you should see his moccasins!" (12-year olds collapse in laughter....)

I didn't exactly cry either.
