Wind yer neck in, Maureen.
Wind yer neck in, Maureen.
Anyone know where this comes from?
Which you have heard where, said by whom, meaning what? (VSD)
'Wind your neck in' is a common phrase in Ireland, and 'Maureen' is - or was - an Irish name, being a diminutive of Mary, though it is less popular than it once was.
I doubt that there is one specific origin, though I could well be wrong on this - I frequently am.
