In the movie "Creation", which details Charles Darwin's life and struggle surrounding the writing of "On the Origin of Species", his daughter Anna becomes ill. In the treatments of the time period, a procedure was used on the little girl in which the Darwin character said "today the doctor came to draw our family's water". What does the phrase 'draw our family's water' mean? or, more simply stated, what is a family's water?
