Roses in December

I wish to respond to a question regarding the origin of the phrase "Roses in December." I hope this is helpful. I have researched this phrase, because I used it as the title of my book. The phrase did not originate with James Barrie (as someone suggested on your site). Rather, James Barrie was quoting from a poem by G.A. Studdert-Kennedy:
"God gave His children memory
That in life's garden there might be
June roses in December."
