A few years back I posted this here on Phrase Finder:

Go all the way to Egery and back - A long distance. "I had to go all the way to Egery and back to get this dog." This refers to the community of Egeria in Raleigh County, West Virginia.

I was searching for various phrases online (I have time on my hands) and found several sites that identified this as a British expression. Anyone else heard this -- outside of West Virginia, I mean.

Well I've never heard it - either in Ireland or the UK.
