can anyone please tell me where I can find the background info on Chinese Proverbs & curses"? Where does "May you live in interesting times " originate from -besides its an old Chinese curse, I am unable to locate any other info about it or find others like it.

May you live in interesting times and come to the attention of important people. That's about all I know about it. I haven't been able to find out if it is, in fact, a "real" Chinese curse/blessing, etc.
