Daylight second

Can anyone tell me the origin of the phrase
"daylight second" I have noticed being used a lot recently ad would like to know how it started.

That's a new one on me. I've heard "New York minute" and "New York second." Meaning everything is faster in NYC including the minutes and seconds. Maybe the phrases are variations.
