Re:heavy metal and few other questions

i just wanted to say that one of the other origins of heavy metal was the description of jimi hendrix music that a reporter said that it sounded (and i'm paraphrasing) like heavy metal falling from the sky...just thought you'd want to know

also I had a few questions for the group....
1. have you ever heard of the word pyhn? my friends and I have been trying to figure out what it means and its origins....

2. what is the origin of "Music is therapy for the soul"
