Hangin' in like Gunga Din
What is the origin of the phrase "out of here like vladimier?"
I believe... but I cannot back up this opinion with evidence... that this is a nonsense expression of goodbye in the same vein, and from the same era as "see you later alligator," "after a while crocodile." I don't think there's any particular person being referred to. I'm willing to stand corrected.
I think it's one in a series: "Hangin' in like Gunga Din." (Said by Jerry Lee Lewis.)
