Can someone please enlighten me as to the origin of 'elgin movement'? Blues artist Robert Johnson makes reference to 'elgin movement' in his song Walkin' Blues.

Here's an article on "Elgin Movement," tying blues lyrics to the watch company. The example from Blind Blake seems to be the clincher: "She got Elgin movements / They're twenty-years guaranteed," which refers to the company's twenty year guarantee.
