Darken your door

What does this sentence mean? "No one will ever darken your door again, for sometimes, time can not heal all wounds and peoples live with self pity."

Nobody will visit you.

The point being that somebody standing in your doorway blocks out the light, and therefore "darkens the door" as they come through. (VSD)
