Didn't touch the sides

We have been debating this for a long time... The phrase "it didn't touch the sides". Does it mean:

A) You've eaten, finished the food and you're still hungry.
or
B) You ate too fast.

A.

I would say neither, exactly.

I think it means that you were very hungry and have eaten very quickly. There is no implication that you still hungry, I think.
