Onward through the fog

Posted by Harry on August 15, 2007

Does anyone out there know the origin of the phrase, 'Onward through the fog'? I think it might be from a musical or a theater work? Sometimes I hear a name added to the end of this phrase, as in, 'Onward through he fog de la mentia' (sp?). I've heard this phrase for almost forty years and I have no idea exactly where it comes from or what the true original phrase is. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!!
