Kick off the moss

What does the phrase "kick off the moss" mean?

Never heard it. I am guessing that it has to do with mossback, as in someone with outdated ideas. See

Or "a rolling stone gathers no moss"... If you've been in the same place to long, you may need to get rid of the moss that has gathered.
