What means the phrase "Put your records on" as it goes in the lyrics of the song from Corinne Bailey Rae:
Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song.

Suddenly I feel very old.

A 'record' is (or was) a means of recording music. It was a vinyl disc by means of which music (or any other sound, come to that)could be played.

It came before the CD, and some of us still have collections of them.
