Jumping St. Peter Murphy-has anyone heard this expression?

No, I haven't.

There is a Saint Peter Murphy, but I don't know why anyone would want to jump him. On the other hand, there is also a non-saint, non-real Peter Murphy who figures in an extremely vulgar poem known to me. He doesn't get jumped, either.
