well done is quickly done
what is this phrase used for?

It makes me think of some unpleasant task -- like ripping off a bandaid or beheading someone -- that should be done swiftly. Kind of a gruesome thought.

Shakespeare's MacBeth: "If it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well It were done quickly"
