What the meaning of "run into"?

Run into. Collide with, as "I ran into a lamppost with the car, putting me in the hospital." Or: "I was running along, not looking, and ran into a wall." Or meet, usually unexpectedly: "I ran into Harry outside my favorite bar, and we went in to have a drink together." SS
