Dollars to dimes

Greetings. I saw an old link about the phrase 'dollars to donuts' and was wondering about a phrase that my grandmother uses frequently : dollars to dimes. Has anyone heard this before or know if it's incorrect? It always seems to elicit confusion from anyone who hears it, but I can't stop using it!
