"talk on corners"?
Hi guys, does anyone know the meaning and etymolgy of the phrase "talk on corners"? I take it its Irish due to the whole Corrs thing. Its been bugging me for a while. cheers
I am Irish but I rather fear that the answer to your question has little or nothing to do with Irishness, nor the rather winsome Corrs, but is somewhat prosaic. I think it means no more than talking on street corners: something done by youths (typically but not exclusively) largely because that is where youth 'hangs out' for want of anywhere else to go.
