"Too many Jeremys in the box"

I heard this saying for the first time yesterday, and I have no idea what it means. Any clarification would be great.

Hmmm. Haven't heard it. Sounds like it relates to "jack in the box." What is the context?

Could Jeremy mean something other than a male name?
