: : Does anyone know what this message is really saying

: Yes, everyone knows! It means living in a situation in which your figurative head is constantly in danger of being crunched, especially by someone or something powerful but not entirely predictable. Or, living with constant danger of a particular sort. Animal trainers in the circus sometimes show off by putting their heads partly into the mouths of the animals they have trained. It's a dangerous stunt, since most circus animals are still somewhat wild and still somewhat unpredictable. SS

Kind of like: "walking on eggs"? Only with an element of danger. Or "life on the edge."
