The HBO series Deadwood features a whole lot of swearing. I was just wondering whether the slang and vulgarities used are made up, real, anachronistic, "chronistic," or what.

And while we're at it--what is the antonym of anachronistic?

Cussing is pretty old. What are some examples of the cuss words and vulgarities?

I have read, but I can't say where--perhaps TV Guide--that the language used in "Deadwood" was carefully researched, and accurately reflects the awful language used there. SS
