Aim low, shoot high
Do you know where or from whom this phrase come from?
I don't know. But I'm looking for a similar phrase: "Aim low and shoot high." A coworker who is a hunter said it about writing goals. I guess he meant have modest goals and then try to exceed them.
There is a wonderful site for quotes by 'googling'
the key word you are looking for. Try 'Aim.'
One of my favourites is...
"Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star."

Today I asked a coworker, who is a championship marksman, about the two aim expressions. He said that when using some weapons the shooter has to aim a bit lower than the target to compensate for the gun bucking up when firing.
