This expression came into my mind in a conversation, and I can't remember the original source.

IT was certainly used in a popular song from the show: How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying 1961
Lyrics:
"You have the cool clear eyes of a seeker of wisdom and truth, Yet there's that ... seem to remember"

Whether this is the real origin, I don't know.
