How do you say the part of the body, lap, en francais?

As in, Je veux rester ma tete sur votre [lap].

I think "genoux" is usual ("genou" = "knee"): e.g., "... sur vos genoux". But I'm not expert in French.

It's 'giron' I believe.

I think I'd rather sit on a Lap.sitting on a giron could be misinterpreted in certain circles.
