Fast and Furious

it is Friday afternoon, I have lots to do, but I was looking forward to a few mins on here discussing and postulating, but alas no posts.

I will just have to go and make a coffee.

I'm with you on this one. The posts have not exactly been fast and furious lately. Now there's a phrase...any ideas as to the origin of "fast and furious"?
