Priests

Has anyone heard a phrase that goes something like, "Don't let the priests spend too much time by the tabernacle"?I don't think it was referencing Christian religion though. But the point was, if a person spends very much time close to something that is purported to be supernatural, that person will realize that there is no magic there afterall. Or that he/she will lose his reverence or awe for the [tabernacle or whatever it was].
