Daily Wick?

Has anyone ever heard this expresion?

It's Bailiwick, not daily wick and it means a special domain.

As in "chemestry is not in my baliwick".

What is 'chemestry'?

related to the word 'bailiff' - a court officer responsible for enforcement of judgments within a defined locality (their bailiwick).

The Island of Jersey is still known as a "Bailiwick" (even if my spelling is not correct).
