The hangout spot

When this site was down for Gary's good work, I wonder what the 'regular' crowd at the site did for mental stimulation. We all must have some sort of mental/cyber image of ESC and Smokey, and Word Camel and Lewis, Mr. Briggs, Bruce and the Goddess --- it reminds me of the hangout I had as a teenager, where there were a group of people who made it a special place.
The mavens do such good work here and help those who drop by and ask for knowledge of our great language. You are all really appreciated! And to Gary, who has created a world class hangout, ....we salute you! (We didn't know what to do when the door was locked)
