Carry on like a pork chop

This is one I use a lot myself, but it's just occurred to me to wonder where on earth it comes from. It means to talk a lot, go on a lot, carry on a lot, etc.
Is it rhyming slang? Anyone know?

I don't think it's a Jewish expression.
