I recently heard someone refer to "a Tom Jones dinner". Anybody know what this is ?

Saw one definition:
"messy eating encouraged but clean up thoroughly afterward"
(Akin to "Animal House's Food Fight.)

The movie version of Fielding's "Tom Jones" featured a dining scene with Tom and a wench where they ate in a lascivious manner. It was seductive and (for the times anyway) a bit bawdy, and became famous.
