: Does anyone recall a newspaper comic titled "Smokey Stover" There were back ground signs or whatever which read "notary sojac" or "vosh riki dosh?" to which the reply was "farno, farno". Also Chester Gould's comic "Dick Tracy" with the message "The nation that controls magnetism will rule the universe"

Another Smokey Stover classic sign: "Scram gravy ain't wavy."
