Every good boy deserves favour

Please help.....

I first heard that a very long time ago. I always assumed that it meant that even the meanest among us (as lowly as a dog) will some day have his turn--at being important, at being listened to, at being on top, at being top dog, or some such. My day will come has much the same connotation, but in a more personal, rather than general, sense. See also "Thy day will come." SS

A variation:

SUN DON'T SHINE, THE - "The sun don't shine on the same dog's a** every day, but your butt ain't seen a ray of sunshine in weeks." From the movie "Hoosiers" .

Andy Warhol suggested that everybody would have 15 minutes of fame - anybody know why he chose 15 minutes? and did he forget about how many Chinese people there are?
