Help avec a french idiom

Aidez-moi! What's the translation of "Elle aime mettre de l'huile sur le feu." i'm not up on my idioms, and I know it has something to do with putting oil on fire, but what's that idiomatically? (in english)
Merci!

I think it means "Freedom Fries".

You might say, "She likes to add fuel to the fire" -- meaning she likes to escalate conflict. In English, alliteration (the two F's) often strengthens folk sayings.

Alternatively it could be "throwing fat on the fire" - with predicatable explosive results.

To pour petrol on the flames.
To throw petrol on the flames.
For example; Sharon jette de l'huile sur le feu.
En riposte à l'attaque palestinienne, il préconise l'extension de la colonisation juive à Hébron. AFP Edition du lundi 18 novembre 2002.

I'm always away when I could help !
"Add fuel to the fire" is certainly most accurate.
I have heard that "Freedom Fries" in New-York were back to "French Fries" or "Belgian Fries".
