What is a person who constatnly likes to be praised called?

The word "needy" comes to mind. I'll flip through my describer dictionary and see if there's another.

Perhaps, God. (Remember the Simpsons episode where Homer is a missionary on a South Seas island, and a puzzled native asks him "If God is so powerful, why does he need us to praise him?" Homer answers that He is indeed, powerful, "...but needy, like Barbra Streisand....")
