San Fairy Ann

I knew that this was a corruption of "ca ne fait rien" and was glad to find it in the list. However, I remember a story I read as a child in which a little girl named her dolly San Fairy Ann. I believe the story was set in England after the first world war. Does anyone else remember it? If so, please send me the name and author. Thank you very much.
