Hi,

Could anyone help me with the bracketed phrase sentence? I don't quite understand.

Impartiality is preserved on the part of the persons providing the programmes as respects matters of political or industrial controversy or relating to current public policy; and (subject as hereinafter provided in this subsection), that no matter designed to serve the interests of any political party is included in the programmes.

I think that means "with the exceptions described later in this part of the document."
