: Hi,
: Could anyone help me with the follwing sentence? I don't quite understand.
:
: Imaprtiality is preserved on the part of the persons providing
the programmes as respects matters of political or industrial controversy
or relating to current public policy; and subject as hereinafter
provided in this subsection, that no matter designed to serve the
interests of any political party is included in the programmes.
: Thanks.

What a horrible sentence. Sounds like legalese.
People providing the programmes (programs - U.S.) must be impartial regarding political or industrial controversy and current public policy. No subject matter serving the interests of any political party will (shall?) be included in the programmes.
