Team of smart people

hope someone will help me to find out the one word of " group of brilliant students' , " group of excellent students" to give a team name.

Just to get the ball rolling. Brainiacs. Elite. Whips (as in smart as).

Einsteins, IQs, Wizards, Eggheads, Brainstorms.

How about the Owls (used by Temple University in Philadelphia), or, borrowing from one of ESC's suggestions, "The Storm" as an abbreviation for Brianstorm.

Also, there may be unlimited possibilities if you wanted to try rhyming slang, and how much explaining you wanted to do...

If the students were being paid for exercising their brains, they'd be a think tank.
