I was in a store and heard a daddy tell his little girl: "If you don't stop telling me what you want, you're not going to get it."

But if she doesn't tell what she wants, how is she going to get it?

My guess: he meant "Once is enough."

She probably said it more than once because he didn't acknowledge her the first time. I just thought it was funny.
