"Nation" terms

I think i'm getting confused here but isn't a mexican stand-off a situation like that at the climax of "The Good the Bad and the Ugly" where there are 3 people all against each other.
or was that called something else?

glasgow kiss
viennese waltz

My reference books don't have "Mexican standoff," but I believe two parties suffice to create the encounter so named. As far as I know, a Viennese waltz is just a Viennese waltz, and there's no more hidden meaning in its name than in "India ink," "French windows," or "German chocolate cake."
