I would like to know what a Coffee Clutch is, and where did the phrase come from?

I think your phrase is "coffee klatch".
"Klatsch" is German for "gossip".
So a coffee klatch is a sit down with friends to chew the fat.
And there is a German word spelled "Kaffeeklatsch".
