Any one help me with the origin of "Stone The Crows", tricky question asked by daughter.

Crows in fields?

Sleepy lookout in crowsnest?

Interesting. This doesn't seem to have made it here (to America) ... at least, I was totally unfamiliar with the expression. But some UK slang dictionaries list it, and an Australian slang dictionary lists it as "new." No clue to origin.
