Medic-ne

Please, find me the meaning for the term Medic-ne. In USA it means an emergency room for cardio arrest condition. I'd like to know what the abreviation -ne stand for.

I've never seen it, and I'm in the U.S. Are you sure it has that meaning? It looks like a typo for "medicine."
