BAKED APPLE - "Brown on the outside, white on the inside." Referring to a character, Sheriff Espinosa -- a "person of color" who "acts white." Similar to "Oreo," black on the outside and white on the inside. From "Blue Lonesome" by Bill Pronzini (Walker and Company, New York, 1995), Page 95.

As the references sometimes say: usually considered offensive.
