Guardian angel
I have heard this phrase and that it either means that an
angel is letting you know they are there for you,or that someone important in your life that has passed away is trying to let you they are there for you or they are o.k..
Does anyone know what it is supposed to symbolize?
I would like to be more clear on this and whether it is against the teachings of the bible. What is your opinion?
DonnaIt's from a song lyric that sounds suspiciously like demonic possession to me:
(Ev'ry time it rains, it rains).Pennies from heaven
(Don'tcha know each cloud contains).Pennies from heaven?
(You'll find you fortune fallin') All over town
(Be sure that your umbrella) Is upside downTrade them for a package of sunshine and flowers
If you want the things you love you must have showers
(So when you hear it thunder) Don't run under a tree
There'll be pennies from heaven for you and for meBut then I researched the bible extensively, and found no references to "pennies" at all, so I suppose you can sing it without fear of eternal damnation.
Psalm 90 :11: "For he hath given his angels charge over thee; to keep thee in all thy ways."
If you'll go to billygraham.org and search under "angels" there are several pages devoted to the subject.
And there is a discussion about angels from the Catholic point of view at www.newadvent.org
